Fancy Footwork

AAAAGHHH!!! Midterm/paper stress. 2 midterms down, 3 midterms and a paper to go. (Thus the lack of posts in the past little while).

On that note, I must thank Chromeo for making such great stress-relieving, dance-enducing music.

Mama's in the factory, she ain't got no shoes

I've just recently realized how awesome Bob Dylan's lyrics are.
Seriously - lyrical genius. I thought this video was pretty neat.

And this is one of my favourite songs by him. It's been on heavy rotation in my music collection as of late.

Indian Boots

I scored these Boulet boots among other great finds at Value Village this past weekend.
So happy.

James Dean

Some amazing shots of James Dean taken by American photojournalist and documentary photographer Dennis Stock. I really admire his work.

My favourites from this set are the one of James Dean walking in Times Square, the shot taken in the cemetery, and the one of him reading in a barn.

The world just watched.

Today was such a nice day! So nice, in fact, that despite the overwhelming load of reading and assignments I have yet to catch up on, I couldn't resist the temptation of putting schoolwork aside to get some fresh air with a friend of mine. Here are a few shots from our walk. :)

"For lack of attention a thousand forms of loveliness elude us every day" - Evelyn Underhill

Where do you see beauty?

Is it in art, in music, in fashion? Is it in words, in photographs? Do you see it in nature? Perhaps you see it in religion or in science or in history. Is it in mathematics - in numbers and sequences and patterns? Or in mechanics? In architecture? Is it visible in tattoos and piercings? In wrinkles? Can you find it in the innocence of youth, or the wisdom of age? Do you see it in life? In death and in tragedy? Is it everywhere, in everything? Is it unseen?

The definition of beauty is so subjective. I don't want to be confined to my own perception of beauty. There is so much we can learn just by viewing the world through one another's eyes!
